Effective Change in Condition Communication Between your Team and Medical Providers

Clear, structured communication is essential for ensuring timely and appropriate clinical interventions in assisted living settings. This 2-hour virtual course will teach caregivers and assisted-living staff how to efficiently communicate with providers using the "SBAR" (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) method.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Concisely describe a resident’s change in condition
  • Provide relevant clinical context
  • Relay accurate observations
  • Make focused recommendations to support rapid clinical decision-making.

By the end of the session, led by Mary Kate Fries of Sequoia Integrative Medical Services, learners will be equipped with a simple, repeatable communication framework that reduces errors, enhances provider collaboration, and improves resident outcomes.
