This two hour virtual course is designed to clarify the evolving responsibilities of Registered Nurses working in Wisconsin’s Community-Based Residential Facilities (CBRF) and Residential Care Apartment Complexes (RCAC). As care needs continue to grow in complexity, RNs play a pivotal role in clinical oversight, regulatory compliance, delegation, and interdisciplinary coordination. 

This session explores:

  • The key differences between assisted living and skilled nursing environments
  • Essential RN duties such as;
    • Assessments
    • Care planning
    • Medication monitoring
    • Staff supervision
  • An overview of applicable state regulations;
    • DHS 83
    • DHS 89
    • Chapter 50

Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of how to lead with clinical accountability and confidence in today’s assisted living landscape.
