Medicare 101: Understanding the Basics and How it Impacts Your Residents
Medicare can be extremely confusing, however is something most of your residents will utilize at some point. This 2-hour virtual session is led by Stacie Opahle with ePlatinum Health who will explain the basics of Medicare. In addition, Stacie will provide insight on the importance of reviewing Medicare policies upon new admissions along with your current residents on a yearly basis.
Key topics will include:
- Clarity around Medicare A, B, C and D
- The differences between Medicare Supplements, Prescription Drug Plans, and Advantage Plans
- Timing of when changes can be made to a members' plan
- The impact that a move has on a members' Medicare coverage
- How to assist in reviewing current residents' Medicare coverage to ensure they can maximize all of your on-site providers
