Leading with Care: Putting It Into Place -- Tools for Preventing and Addressing Burnout
Burnout doesn’t happen overnight — it builds slowly, often in the most caring and dedicated people. As leaders in helping professions, it can be hard to know how to support your team while also navigating your own limits and stress. This workshop is designed to help leaders move beyond awareness and into intentional, sustainable action.
Together, we’ll explore how burnout shows up in your team and in yourself, identify nervous system cues that signal overload, and practice ways to respond that promote safety, connection, and resilience.
Through guided discussion and experiential exercises, participants will leave with personalized strategies and tangible tools that can be integrated into day-to-day leadership — even in high-stress environments. In this workshop, participants will:
- Deepen their understanding of the root causes of burnout in helping roles.
- Learn how to recognize nervous system signs of stress and burnout in themselves and others.
- Practice language and leadership approaches that create psychological safety and trust.
- Develop a sustainable action plan to support their team’s well-being without losing their own.
- Walk away with tools to foster steadiness, connection, and compassion in the workplace.
