We are currently in development of a brand new 75 unit facility that will also be overseen by this role.  This new facility is projected to open in Fall of 2025.

Administrator Responsibilities

 

CopperStone’s Administrator is generally responsible for:

 

  1. Overseeing every activity taking place in CopperStone Assisted Living, while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations; and make periodic and routine reports to the owners regarding corporation operations, with emphasis on matters that impact resident, staff, legal or policy concerns.

 

  1. Collaborate with CopperStone’s Director of Clinical Operations and Facilities Manager to ensure the companies success.

 

  1. Remain an industry expert to ensure future success for the corporation by staying current on industry trends, clinical requirements, and regulatory compliance specific to DHS 83 and Chapter 50.

 

  1. Will be a resource and advocate for Residents, their families, and CopperStone’s direct care staff; Complete the clinical orientation and training for all CopperStone’s direct care staff.

 

  1. Will hire, train, discipline, and terminate employees in accordance with company policies. Must become fluent in CopperStone’s policies to provide consistency and quality in the selection and retention of staff.

 

  1. Will serve as CopperStone’s appointed Grievance Officer and must follow all applicable policies and regulations surrounding proper Grievance procedures. Will serve as a Resident advocate to CopperStone staff, 3rd party contracts, family and all other applicable entities.

 

  1. Will maintain and reinforce the corporations mission statement to provide high quality and consistent care and Resident/Community satisfaction. Will participate in community relations to promote a positive culture to staff and the community. These events may take place outside of normal business hours from time to time.

 

  1. Will provide visible, proactive leadership and be responsible for creating and maintaining the highest standards of customer satisfaction relating to healthcare, facilities, food services, activities, housekeeping, staff interactions and Resident care. Will directly supervise, motivate and mentor all facility staff.

 

  1. Will complete all financial responsibilities, as directed by the Owners. This includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, and overseeing resident petty cash accounts.    

 

 

Professional Developments

 

Specialize in the healthcare of Residents with Alzheimer’s disease, other forms of Dementia, and other intellectual developmental disabilities.

 

Knowledge of clinical and regulatory process relating to assisted living - CBRF, as specified in WI DHS 83 and Chapter 50 to ensure the facility and its operations remain in compliance.

 

Thorough knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques of personnel administration, recruitment, selection, orientation, training and performance evaluation.

 

 

Skills and Abilities

Capacities

 

The capacity to maintain continuity of thought and purpose over prolonged periods of time regardless of the frequency of interruptions and situations; The stamina to work long hours under pressure and to function effectively during stressful situations.

 

The capacity to work full-time hours, 40-45/week.  Typically, hours range between 7a.m. to 5p.m., Monday through Friday with occasional evening and weekends. The ability to respond to high level questions from the clinical on-call team off hours.

 

Experience

 

Acceptable professional experience in long term care; graduation from an approved technical college or university. Applicable bachelor’s degree is preferred. Must be 21 years of age and have a WI CBRF Administrator License (or a superseding credential is acceptable) as per WI DHS 83 regulation.

 

3-5 years of experience in Assisted Living and/or Skilled Nursing. Nursing Home Administrator License is preferred.  

 

Experience with ECP, Nurse call systems, delayed egress, and Microsoft suite is preferred.

 

3-5 years in a leadership, supervisory, or management preferred.

                                                                                                                            

Other Requirements

 

Attend all Attend all regular staff meetings, required training sessions, and any other mandatory meeting as posted.

 

Limited out of town travel is required for industry training events.

 

Successful criminal background check, driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance, and completed reference checks.
