WALA's Family Care Provider Survey
In January 2010, the Wisconsin Assisted Living Association (WALA) distributed a brief e-mail survey to its members asking about their experience with claims payment timeliness in Family Care. The survey was not designed as a "scientific" survey, and no claim is made that the results are representative of the experience of assisted living providers as a whole. However, the information shared by respondents provides useful insight into the experience of assisted living providers. Click here to see survey results!
Information From WALA About Family Care
WALA encourages all providers to understand the policies & operations of the expansion of Family Care in Wisconsin. To that end, this page on the WALA Website is dedicated to helping you learn more.
- As the movement toward Managed Care evolves, WALA will play an active role in gathering and disseminating information to and from MCOs and providers. Managed Care Volume 1 is the first step in building a bridge of understanding that can help providers navigate the managed care system and help MCOs understand the provider's perspective. This document provides you with information from WALA on Quality, Reimbursement and Contract Terms.
- WALA has prepared a multi part CD that you can play on your home computer to help understand specifics of Family Care. Developed by Maggie McCullough, each CD has four one-hour programs with a printable PowerPoint presentation and the voice over. The four courses are Managed Care (MC) 101; MC 201; MC 301 and MC 401. More information and ordering is available at The WALA Store.
