4. Watch for the WALA Compensation Survey soon!

Have you ever wondered what and how other providers are compensating their staff around Wisconsin?  WALA has been working months on a Survey that will give you the information that you have been seeking!  We are asking all Wisconsin providers to fill out this survey, and in turn, for a small fee, you will be able to obtain a report that has Wisconsin specific salary and benefit information.  (Of course WALA Members get a discount!)

In the next week, you will get more information on the survey, and how you will be able to participate.  Keep an eye open for this in your mail.

7. forMemory requests space to be a vendor at your facility or company

forMemory is looking for exhibit space for nature photos. Would your assisted living home or company like to display at least 20 or as many as 40 pieces for a month or two at no cost to you?

Finished sizes of each piece can mix larger or smaller by your preference. Many are framed to be almost 19" by 16" for which $140 is suggested. Each piece is professionally framed with wire hanging and has a small card with contact information.  Provided is a framed biography addressing hope for memory. The proceeds (about 50% of any purchase) benefit forMemory's work.

Many of you listened to Mary Kay Baum story at last March's WALA conference.  Mary Kay and her sister gave a keynote there on our living with cognitive challenges of early onset Alzheimer's disease.

They now have reprinted and slightly updated our book, Traveling with Hope: Sharing Our Experiences with Memory Challenges and would like copies to be available for viewers for a small donation.
In arranging a show, Mary Kay would like the opportunity to have a publicly advertised educational reception and would welcome your help with that. Mary Kay and her sisters are also willing to do a continuing education session for staff.

Locations within 100 miles of Madison or within 100 miles of the Fox River Valley are preferable. They would hang and remove the show for you.

Please contact Mary Kay Baum at (608) 935-5834 or marykbaum@gmail.com for more information.
